Victory Band Debut at Fundraiser

The Victory Band, aptly named for the school they hail from, did an admirable job of warming up for Sun City Soul at our recent fundraiser.

Putting their own spin on Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams and Imagine Dragons’ Demons, the six piece powerhouse got everyone in the mood to boogie.

Nelson College’s head of music also made his debut, but as an auctioneer as he extracted the cash and the laughs with surprising skill for a first timer!

Then on to the main event, where Nelson’s pre-eminent soulsters rocked us gently with the hits of the big names in soul.
